Yes, you can get NITs or IIITs with your rank. All you need to do is some of these steps :
Your choices must include all the branches of NITs. You can omit some of the North Eastern NITs but you must include every branch of the central NITs. Wait till the very end of counselling. Most of the times you can get good NITs or IIITs in the 7th or Special round. Make a list of your choices and arrange it according to your preference and fill it accordingly. According to my prediction you can get a seat in a newly opened IIIT. If you are going to choose it please do check it's Mentor Institute because it can determine your campus life in the institution. Delhi Technological University (DTU) is one of the top engineering colleges and has a 36th ranking in the NIRF Engineering category.
With a JEE Main 6700 rank in the SC category, there is a slight possibility that you would get a seat in the Computer Engineering branch of the DTU. The all-India JEE main rank cutoff for the SC category at DTU in 2021 was 97680.
Also, if you have Delhi home state quota then your chances are very good to get admission in DTU. Based on the previous year's estimate, the cut-off for the SC category is usually under 50,000.
Therefore, you may get admission if you meet eligibility criteria and have required documents like a domicile certificate, etc.
The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English (core or elective) as a subject with a 60% aggregate at 10+2 level from any recognized board to be eligible.
