With an 88.5 percentile in JEE, getting a B.Tech CSE seat at VIT Andhra Pradesh depends on the cutoffs, which mostly consider VITEEE or Andhra Pradesh EAMCET ranks. VIT-AP typically admits via VITEEE or Andhra Pradesh EAMCET; JEE percentile alone may not directly qualify you unless converted accordingly. Usually, VITEEE cutoff ranks for CSE range widely but expected category 1 closing ranks were around 20,000 to 45,000 in 2024. To confirm, you should check VITEEE or Andhra Pradesh EAMCET scores and admission criteria specifically.

With a 30000 rank in WB you are unlikely to secure admission to the Computer Science and Engineering branch at techno main Salt Lake campus through the counselling process as previous cutoffs for CSE in this specific campus are significantly lower around 4K to 8k however Techno India University which is different from the salt lake campus or the Techno India New Town campus might have CSC cut off in the range of 15 k-30 k or even up to 20 K to 30K respectively making it a possibility at other Techno India institution

Honestly, it's gonna be super tough. With a 93 percentile and 1.02 Lacs CRL, grabbing a CSE seat at MBM Jodhpur is very unlikely, even under the OBC category. CSE cutoffs are wild—usually closing way earlier, often around 30k CRL or less. OBC does help, but competition is real. You might get something in lower-demand branches, though. Keep an eye on spot rounds or consider CSE in private/state colleges with good placements.

CSE's super competitive, but if your JEE rank's between 30–40k, you still have solid colleges that give good bang for your buck. Look at IIIT Nagpur, IIIT Pune, or NIT Jalandhar for related branches. IIEST Shibpur also has good placements. If you've got home state advantage, even NIT Trichy or MNIT Jaipur might work out (for circuit branches). Focus on colleges that offer solid CTCs and low fees; basically, best ROI vibes.

The CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test) Computer Science exam has a specific pattern. It consists of two sections: Section A and Section B (which includes B1 and B2). Section A has 15 compulsory questions covering both Computer Science and Information Practices. Section B has two options: B1 (35 questions on Computer Science) and B2 (35 questions on Information Practices). Candidates can choose to answer either Section B1 or B2, based on their preference and preparation. All questions are in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format.

For students confident about their interest in a specialised area and aiming for cutting-edge tech roles,  CSE with specialisation is generally better for future growth. For those who prefer a broad base to explore multiple fields or are unsure about specialization, Core CSE is a safer and flexible choice.

There is a good chance in getting an admission in B.Tech CSE.The University accepts students based on their performance in 12th with physics, chemistry, mathematics and English and score in JEE MAIN. If you hadn't appeared for JEE there can be Management quota seats. The University also accepts HSTES (haryana state technical education society)Entrance test. You can apply through the official website. You can also contact the college directly to know more about admission if you hadn't appeared for any entrance exam.
