JGEC offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. JGEC courses are offered in the fields of engineering and technology. A total of 8 courses are offered by the college in full-time mode. Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Jalpaiguri courses are B.Tech and M.Tech. The courses are further offered in various specialisations. The JGEC UG course specialisations are civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information technology and mechanical engineering. The PG course is offered in the following areas: power electronics and drives engineering and production technique and management engineering. 

NIELIT Guwahati offers a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) programme with a total tuition fee of INR 1.20 Lakh. The college provides more than 50 diplomas, advanced diplomas, short-term, and long-term certificate courses, along with placement assistance for renowned companies. The BCA programme at NIELIT Guwahati is open to students who have completed class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate or have a Diploma in engineering from a recognised institute.
