MCA is post graduate course and B.Tech in Under graduate course and both are not same.
MCA is more on the application side (coding, applications etc.) B.Tech is a bit comprehensive and covers the engineering aspects of computer (programming; electronics, hardware etc.)
MCA can be done after graduation and B.Tech can be done after 12th Science.

It is a good institute, but there are many other good colleges available to pursue BCA.

That's not possible. Everything needs a platform or some substance to run. It's like running a train without
the track and that's not possible.

Reputed college will always help you more, as it will help you to get an on campus placement and I would recommend you to go for B.Tech IT from a good college as BCA+MCA will require 2 more years as compared to B.Tech IT.

Please specify the full form of the college as it's quite confusing whether you are taking Manipal Institute of Technology, Maharashtra Institute of Technology or any other college.

The full form of CUP is Common UNIX Printing System.

There are some management seats in various colleges.
You just need to register yourself online and after that, you will be called by them for further process.
