Yes, an Arts or Commerce student is eligible to apply for MCA course in many colleges. During MCA Admission some colleges may allow only those candidates who have studied Mathematics or Computer Applications as a subject in school. After completing BCA, they can go for an MCA course. This way a candidate with an Arts or Commerce background in school can pursue a professional course in the field of Science and Technology.

NIT Surathkal NIMCET cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2 for MCA admission. The Cutoff was released as Opening and closing ranks for different categories under the AI quota. For the General AI category candidates, the cutoff closed in Round 1 at 114. For the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff for the same course closed at 172.

NMIT Doesn't Offer BCA in Cybersecurity. While they have a strong focus on cybersecurity and offer a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialisation in Cyber Security. They do not have a dedicated BCA programme in this field.
