ICFAI University Meghalaya has an active placement cell that looks after the placements and internships of all the students. The top recruiters of ICFAI University Meghalaya in 2022 included leading companies such as Chilly Breeze, HDFC and CNOS. BCA students can get placed across multiple domains like Management Information System, Database Management System, Internet Software Engineering, among others.While there are no exact BCA placement data but according to Shiksha reviews, the highest and average package offered during ICFAI University Meghalaya placements 2021 stood at INR 12 LPA and INR 7 LPA, respectively. The placement cell guides the students for the process as well.

About the placement, NIELIT Gangtok has not yet made any announcements. Applicants can follow Shiksha for any updates. The NIELIT does, however, offer placement-related information on the placement portal. In an attempt to empower and enable NIELIT qualifiers, a placement portal designed specifically for their benefit is being employed. Online Diploma in Computer Application (DCA), Accounting (Tally) and Publishing (Corel Draw, Photoshop, PageMaker), a 3 months online course is offered in blended mode also. The National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) is aligned with this course. Applicants may apply if they have completed their 12th grade from an accredited board and possess a basic understanding of computers and internet concepts.

NIELIT Guwahati has provided placement portal, where students can register for free on the NIELIT placements portal and submit their CV. The portal also facilitates prospective employers to examine and select resumes on specific need and skillsets. BCA and M.Sc in computer Science both are preferred degree for getting IT jobs, but M.Sc is higher degree course than BCA so placement in M.Sc is more than BCA programme. Although the placement in BCA is also good, it all depend on the students capabilities and their interests.  The popular recuiters in the past are ICICI, Infosys, Ranbaxy, sony, Sify, JSW stell, spicejet, times group, India bulls and many more

NIELIT Guwahati or Cotton University both are the best for BCA programme , Cotton University is a public state university whereas as The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Guwahati is National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The fee of Cotton University for BCA is INR 1.33 Lacs whereas the fees of NIELIT Guwahati is INR 1.20 Lacs . Cotton University is accepted admission on the baisis of CUET, AHSEC, CBSE12th, whereas NIELIT Guwahati is accepted admission on the basis of class 12th and in some cases they offer NIELIT entrance exam, candidate can choose any one of them according to their capabilities.
