Admission to MCA courses is done through the merit-based as well as entrance examination based. Various entrance exams are conducted at the national level (NIMCET) or state level (MAH CET, UPSEE, etc.) and University level (BHU PET, VITEEE, etc) to shortlist eligible candidates for the course.
MCA or Master of Computer Application admission is mostly done through entrance exams conducted at various levels. However, there are very few private colleges/universities that offer admission to the course through direct admission which is based on merit. Different colleges/universities follow different admission procedures to offer admission to the MCA course. MCA Admission for the academic year 2022 is currently open in several colleges such as the NMIMS University, Mumbai, ICFAI University, and more.
Candidates willing to get admission to MCA courses must fulfill the eligibility requirements for the course. To be eligible, aspirants should have completed their 10+2 with at least 50% marks from a recognized Board having Mathematics as the compulsory subject, also one should complete their graduation in Computer Science or other relevant fields. The eligibility criteria may vary from college to college.
