Cotton University accepts applications based on the CUET, AHSEC, and CBSE 12th, whereas NIELIT Guwahati accepts applications based on class 12th, and in certain situations, a NIELIT entrance test. Applicants may select any of these two options based on their performance. 

BCA is the topmost course in both universities and the average fee for BCA at NIELIT Guwahati is 1.20 Lacs and at Cotton University, it is 1.33 Lakh. NIELIT Guwahati or Cotton University both are the best for BCA programme , Cotton University is a public state university whereas as The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Guwahati is National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The fee of Cotton University for BCA is INR 1.33 Lacs whereas the fees of NIELIT Guwahati is INR 1.20 Lacs . Cotton University is accepted admission on the baisis of CUET, AHSEC, CBSE12th, whereas NIELIT Guwahati is accepted admission on the basis of class 12th and in some cases they offer NIELIT entrance exam, candidate can choose any one of them according to their capabilities. 

 The Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students is the top scholarship for B.Sc in this college.The Assamese government provides this scholarship to students who identify as members of the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities. Students must have received at least 60% in their prior qualifying exam in order to be eligible for this scholarship.Other scholarships are -

1. Cotton University Merit Scholarship: Students must have received at least 75% of the possible points in their prior qualifying exam in order to be eligible for this scholarship.
2.  The Cotton University Academic Excellence Scholarship is given to pupils who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. Students must have received at least 80% of the possible points in their prior qualifying exam in order to be eligible for this scholarship.
