No, there is no negative marking in CS Professional examination. CS Professional question paper will consist of description/subjective questions which will have no negative marking.
For objective type question, for every wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted and one mark will be given for every correct response.

Candidates who have qualified the CS Executive exam will be able to apply for the CS Professional exam. Candidates who are declared 'pass' will be able to register for the CS Professional Dec 2025 exam (both modules) till May 31, 2025. Candidates registering after May 31, 2025 will be able to apply for single module only. The last date to apply for CS Professional Dec 2025 session (single module) is July 31, 2025.
The CS Professional June 2025 exam dates has been announced. The exam will be held from June 01, 2025 onwards. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the cutoff dates of ICSI CS Professional June/December 2025 session

The total score for CS Professional examination is 100 marks for each paper. Group 1 of CS Professional consists of three papers and one elective paper which is of total 400 marks and group 2 of CS Professional consists of three papers and one elective paper which is of total 400 marks. Overall the total marks for CS Professional examination is 800 marks. Candidates must score minimum of 50% in aggregate in 40% in each paper to qualify the exam.

The Institute of Ccompany Secretaries of India conducts the CS Professional exam in offline mode. The exam is held in a pen and paper mode. Enrolled candidates must report at the allotted exam centre on the day of examination. Candidates will be allowed to bring the black or blue point ball pen. OMR sheets and question paper will be provided at the exam centre.

CS Professional examination for June 2025 session will be held in offline mode. Candidates will have to report at the alloted exam centre on the day of exam day. Candidates will be able to know the alloted exam centre when the admit card is released. The ICSI CS Professional exam will be held across India. Candidates will be able to choose the preferred CS Professional exam city while filling the application form. Candidates must carefull read the exam day instructions mentioned on the admit card. Test takers failing to adhere by the instructions will be disqualied.
