With a score of 256 out of 500 in CUET from the general category the possibilities at elite central universities (like Delhi University or BHU) for popular programs is not great. You can explore options for admission in new or less established central universities (like Central University of Haryana, Central University of Jammu, or Central University of Jharkhand) in general arts or regional programs. Admission will depend upon the programs popularity and available seats. You will want to look at the cutoffs for each individual university and apply accordingly. With 614 out of 1000 in CUET 2025, you stand a reasonable chance at mid-tier central and state universities for non-competitive courses (humanities, social sciences, or regional languages). Major universities like Delhi University or BHU will be difficult to get into, unless you are choosing a niche (or less in demand) subject. Private or deemed universities are flexible and provide you a broader base. Your chances depend on your category, subject combination, and course of choice. Watch individual college cutoffs closely and apply broadly to maximize the opportunity for admission.

However, as is always the case, if you are prepared to enrol in newer or regional campuses, you might still come across options at some of these institutions. Make sure to watch the cutoffs and apply broadly to give yourself the best chance possible. You may also want to research backup options and apply to those instit
