CUSAT CAT

Currently, there are two engineering colleges only offering admission via CUSAT CAT examination. These are:
1) School of engineering, Kochi
2) College of engineering (CUCEK), Allapuzha
However, I would suggest you to go for School of Engineering because it has better infrastructure and faculty members.

It depends upon the course that you are opting for and the community reservations applicable to you. For example, the 2017 cut off for Civil engineering at SOE was 2634, while that for computer Science engineering was 849.

Hi, CUSAT CAT is an all India level common admission test conducted by the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) for admissions to the various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the institutes affiliated to the University. These courses include engineering, sciences, humanities, law, management, commerce and computer applications. Currently, there is no availability to qualify for a B.Pharma course via CUSAT. Regards.

NRI rank is just a matter of luck.
But, if you had 2 k rank, you will get fire and safety.

CUSAT CAT is easier. It asks very simple and basic question of physics and chemistry. Maths question although are good and its level is equivalent to JEE.

For preparation, you can refer to the following:
1. Get through with 11th and 12th Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics CBS E textbooks.
2. Obtain last year CAT papers, which are available as books in the market.
3. Solve the papers, if that's not working out too well as you may have lost that MCQ cracking skill, check the solutions and learn the answers. There will always be a lot of repeated questions.
