NGE is non-general category means you will get reservation through this category. However, you will not get any reservation in general category. As your CUSAT rank is 1470, you can easily get admission through general category itself in your favorite branch. If you are not from general category, you should bring your category certificates to get reservations benefits.

As your rank is 1028, so your preference of branches should be as computer science, information technology, electronics and communications engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, etc. Follow this sequence. This is as per placement scenario.
