Passed 10+2 in any stream with English as one of the compulsory subjects. Selection is based purely on the merit of the qualifying examination and also on the availability of seats. Passed 10+2 with 50% marks.To become eligible for the Scholarship Test, a student must score the highest Grade in all the subjects and respectable grades in Co-scholastic domain (including co-curricular activities, values, attitudes, behaviour etc.) Eligible students will have to take a Scholarship Test and face panel interview.

DAV Chandigarh offers admission to various postgraduate programmes such as M.A in English, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Economics, M.Sc.The admission to most of the courses is based on the merit score in the last qualifying exam. Hi, the basic eligibility criteria for pursuing BSc in Biotechnology in the colleges listed above are:
- The student should have a minimum combined score of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) at both Higher Secondary and Senior Secondary levels.
- The student should have pursued Science stream where Physics, Biology, and Chemistry are the main subjects at 10+2 level with a minimum combined score of 60% combined aggregate.

| MBA/PGDM | A candidate who has Post Graduate Degree in any discipline of the university has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto, with not less than 45% marks in aggregate. or A pass in final examination conducted by a) Institute of Chartered Accounts of India or b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or Institute of Cost and Management Accounts incorporated by Royal Charter, London or c)Institute of Companies Secretaries of India or d) AMIE examination with at least 50% marks are also eligible to apply |
| PG Diploma | The candidate who has a Postgraduate Degree in any Discipline of the university or a degree of any other university which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent to thereto, are eligible to apply. |
