Overall performance is good but improvement is needed.
Placements: As I am pursuing B.Sc. biotechnology, placements after this course are not much in my college. In the current batch of 30-40 students which is going to pass out this year, only 2 students were placed. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Wipro and a few others. The range of packages offered are 2-5 l. p. a. Top roles offered in my course are medical scribe, data analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good but not up to the mark. Even we have equipments which are very much expensive. Our department has Wi-Fi facility also but the use is very less especially by the students. Regarding the medical facilities, there is a college hospital in the campus. Our college's library is among the best libraries of the city.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful but some teachers specially chemistry teachers are not good in explaining. No relevant tests or MST's are conducted before final exams, Notes are not provided on time even some teachers don't provide notes at all. There are approximately 9-10 subjects per semester and the syllabus is vast. Our syllabus is scattered and we don't have any particular books for us. So we have to rely on teachers. The positive aspects are many changes have done in our syllabus. Although the syllabus is vast but due to the addition of a new subject, skill development in biotechnology, emphasis is given on skill development also. We not even study biotechnology but many aspects of food technology also which will help us in making a career in food industry also. Our lab is much developed than the labs of other departments.
Other: I chose this course because the scope of this court is wide. We can go for industrial jobs including food industry, pharmaceuticals industries etc. We can study further and can be researcher. We can be a lecturer. We have a lot of opportunities. I would suggest that as the course is tough so emphasis should be given to make the concepts clear and enhance the technical skills of students. Attention should be paid on helping the students and making the things simpler not chaotic.

Good infrastructure and environment.
Placements: Approximately 30 percent students were placed in my course and the highest salary is 90000 per month and the lowest salary is 40000. Many companies offered job like stem cell Dhanbad, cordlife Science India Pvt. Limited. Micro biologist, biomedical engineer and manufacturing speacialist are the roles offered by the companies.12 percent students get internship in stem cell Dhanbad.
Infrastructure: DAV college provides a good quality of environment and the best infrastructure they have Wi-Fi facilities available everywhere in the college all labs are present and there are two libraries, good classrooms. In hostel the quality of food was not good but toilet rooms are cleaned medical facilities are also available. There is one sports room.
Faculty: The teacher are so much skilled and qualified. They have good knowledge and also support the weak students in their studies. Dav college have the best skilled and professional teachers. They help the student in all aspects and also make the student Industry ready.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in biotechnology from the beginning so I decided to work on my interest. In this college every year there are 2-3 events. Our campus is very much big. Sports and activities are also organized every year. Best college in Jalandhar.

Satisfied with the faculty and environmental.
Placements: There are total 40 seats in the biotechnology department. The placement council is urging more students to be placed in best of the companies but as in the areas like Jalandhar the number of companies visiting is less so placements is somehow less. The packages for undergraduate courses vary from 120000 to 380000 that is enough for beginners.
Infrastructure: College provide many facilities to the students like free Wi-Fi facility, library that contain many books that can be either of your interest or related to your respective subject. One special block is provided with the competitive material for students who are willing to give competitive examinations. Infrastructure is old so it need renovation.
Hostel facility is also good. The quality of food is satisfying. College also provide medical facility and special advantage to sports quota.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is excellent. They are well qualified. They provide you with better deep understanding of the related subjects. Teachers in the college are always on their toes to help their students when ever required. The curriculum is also relevant which provide them knowledge as well as prepare them for industry purposes.
Other: This field is growing sector that provide with better employment facilities to the upcoming generation. Other is a need for 3d model representation for better concept building. They conduct various workshops for better exposure to the students. They provide scholarships to merit and needy students.

I am happy and satisfied that I have chosen D.A.V. College.
Placements: About 34 students got placed in BARC, ISRO, etc. The top roles offered are scientist, biochemist, medical engineer, microbiologist, an immunologist in the sector of microbiology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, bioinformatics, botany, zoology, basic computers, English, Punj.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus. The infrastructure of labs is well maintained. Classrooms are good and airy. I am a non-hostler, so I don't know much about hostels, but friends say that it is good. It is also good for girls safety. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Teaching quality is excellent Teachers are helpful and always give their handwritten notes. All are PhD holders, and their way of teaching is also very good. As I am in the first semester so, I don't know much about course curriculum is relevant or not or it makes student industry ready or not.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to be a microbiologist. They should remove unnecessary subjects like organic or inorganic chemistry.

It has a good library with lots of books.
Placements: Many students have cleared the competitive exams. Many have won a scholarship from prestigious colleges for their further studies, and all this is because of the college faculty and the right guidance of the teachers. After B.Sc. is not something someone will be interested in, but still, there are companies offering internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of both college as well as of department is very good. The college campus and hostels have Wi-Fi facility. The labs are fully furnished with the necessary equipment. Each department has a separate library where they have books related to the subject itself, which give students good access.
Faculty: The teachers are ready to help the students when they are in need, and they guide students in the right direction and also tell us to walk on the right path. This is what I like the most. The teachers have done their PhD from a reputed college and also have good experience in teaching.
Other: I have chosen this course because it lets us do some further research on things that will be beneficial for the world's future. Our department is the best I have ever visited somewhere. And they also provide various scholarship on the basis of merits, single girl child, etc.
