Under the University of Delhi's Dyal Singh Evening College, B.A. students can apply for scholarships. Students of different categories, such as SC, ST, and OBC, are catered to by these scholarships. In particular, the Delhi Government offers the E-district Delhi Scholarship to students who reside in Delhi and fall within the SC/ST/OBC categories. Merit Scholarships are also available for students enrolled at the University of Delhi for the academic year 2023–2024 who fall under the SC/ST/OBC categories.

To get into a B.Tech programme at Delhi University by giving CUET exam, the basic eligibility criteria is:
Eligibility:
- Pass Class 12 from a recognised board.
- Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (or a minimum score of 24 in an IB Diploma).
- Score at least 30% in any language offered in Section 1A of CUET.

Shivaji College admission procedure to the PG course is based on both merit and entrance - DUET. Merit-based admissions are offered only to DU graduates. In Shivaji College PG admissions 50% of seats are filled by the entrance exam and the other 50% of seats are based on the merit of the qualifying exam.

Earlier for PG admissions, Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) used to be accepted, but from 2023 onwards, PG admissions will only be based on the CUET PG exam.
Once the CUET results are declared, eligible candidates need to register themselves on Delhi University’s admission portal - admission.uod.ac.in for all UG and PG course admissions. The final Selection for PG courses will be based on the merit list released for both merit and entrance-based admissions.

Shivaji College has a very active Placement Cell that works round the year to provide internship and employment opportunities to its students. The cell also organizes skill development workshops, seminars, and talks that give students ample insight into the scenario prevailing in the current job market. The cell also coordinates with the Central Placement Cell of the D.U to ensure that students also h access to opportunities provided by the University Campus. Every year, Placement Cell also conducts a survey to analyze the interest of students in placement and internship opportunities and plans the activities accordingly.

Shivaji College cutoff 2023 was out for UG and PG programs based on CUET marks. PG Mop-Up Round Seat Allotment result was released on October 20, 2023. Candidates checked the allocation result by logging into their CSAS (PG) dashboard @pgadmission.uod.ac.in. Acceptance of the allocated seat was from October 20 to October 22 and the last date for fee payment was October 24, 2023. Also, NTA announced CUET UG 2024 and CUET PG 2024 exam dates. The CUET UG 2024 exam was held from May 15 to May 31, while the CUET PG 2024 exam was scheduled from March 11 to March 28, 2024.

Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi accepts the common university entrance test (common university entrance test) scores for admission to the undergraduate programs of the college. The common university entrance test is administered by the national testing agency (NTA). The test is a standardised test for admission to central universities in India.
Once the results of the Common University Admission Test are declared, the candidates have to take part in the common seat allocation system (CSAS).
