Only selected candidates will be called for the music practical exam for B.A. Music (Hons.) at Delhi University. The selection for the practical exam will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam. The cutoff for the practical exam is usually around 50%.
The music practical exam will be held at the Delhi University campus. The exam will be conducted in two parts:
- Part 1: This part will consist of a sight-reading test.
- Part 2: This part will consist of an improvisation test.

Jesus and Mary College has a separate Placement cell designated to provide different internships and job related opportunities to the students. Students receive any such notifications timely on their official WhatsApp groups and have an option to apply. However it depends on the merit of the student and the terms of the internships if they get selected for that particular internship or not.

The eligibility criteria to pursue B.EL.ED in JMC is same as for other courses that is atleast 50% in 12th standard. Apart from this criteria students also needs to clear the CUET exam to get admission in the course.
