The difficulty and competitiveness of Interior Design entrance exams vary mainly depending on the education and exam body, though generally, Interior Design exams are considered competitive, especially for top-ranked colleges and universities like NIFTs and NIDs. Success rates also can fluctuate; however, achieving a strong score on entrance exams like NIFT, NID, or UCEED can improve your chances of admission to the top colleges.

The final CEED score is calculated by combining your performance in Part A and Part B of the exam, but with different weightages.
Here's how it works:
Part A (Objective section) - 25% weightage
Part B (Drawing and Design section) - 75% weightage
Final CEED Score = (Part A score * 0.25) + (Part B score * 0.75)

A good score in CEED typically depends on the year's difficulty level, overall performance of candidates, and cutoffs set by individual institutes.
In general:
A score above 45-50 in Part A is considered safe for qualifying.
A final combined score (Part A + Part B) of above 60-65 out of 100 is usually considered very good for getting calls from top institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IISc Bangalore.
For the the highest-ranking institutes, candidates often need a rank within the Top 100 to have a strong chance.
- CEED does not have a fixed qualifying score each year; the cutoffs vary based on the exam difficulty

No, Design Solution Institute of Fashion Designing does not take admission through NIFT exam. Admissions at the institute are made on merit through qualifying exams. There is no need for outside entrance exams. Students are shortlisted purely on academic performance.

I would suggest visiting the IIIT Delhi website or even calling their admission office to know if there will be any late application or spot rounds available. Colleges sometimes run spot rounds when there are unused seats after holding the main rounds, so there is no harm in asking whether this option might be available. Also, approaching the admissions office could give you some information on how to go about it, even if it's not the usual route. If none of these prove to be successful, you could attempt preparing for next year's UCEED and making sure that you go through all the application processes well in advance so as not to miss
