Being a alumni of Lovely Professional University I would say Lovely Professional University is regarded as one of the Best Design colleges in India and Punjab, LPU School of Design offers its students cutting-edge labs and equipment to simulate the industry environment with practical exposure to fashion industry right from designing to merchandising. I did my post graduation from LPU and during MBA I had one roommate from fashion designing department, So I have idea about this course. My roommate told me Fashion designing is a branch having a lot of scope and in LPU, they give a lot of exposure to students, through guest lectures from industry top shots, various in campus and out campus fashion shows, and also they have their own store where the studentscreations are showcased and sold. She also told me Study tours are an integral part of curriculum with visitation of architectural and prominent sites provides maximum exposure to learn technicalities of architecture. The school provides a platform for students to experiment with creative designs, patterns, fabrics and colors. Live with fashion events, visits by renowned national and international fashion designers, innovation and creativity is fostered in the students at every step. They are encouraged to experiment with different materials to create conceptual wear and accessories. Also Students are exposed to fashion shows, craft fairs, industry internships and craft documentation. They get intensive exposure to practical work in Pattern making, Draping, Weaving, Printing, Dyeing, Garment Construction labs. Students are given various Live-projects during the course of the programme to create commercially viable designs. School of Design organized Face Painting and nail painting competition for students to showcase their creative talents. About placements, LPU provides a good platform for placements for all streams and programs. LPU has a separate dept which looks after placement opportunities. Apart from that, each school has its own placement coordinator who is responsible and actively works for not only calling companies to the campus, but also for preparing students for placements by giving them proper training. LPU students have been placed in well reputed national as well as international clothing brand like H & M, acquiring 14 Lacs + per annum pay package.

The best college in Product Design according to me would be UID. The following are the reasons :
