Offcourse, it will help you. Design and engineering go hand in hand. Design is done based on need and need is solved by engineering. In a simple way, engineering solves the problem and design is the solution. If possible, do B.Tech in India for automobile engineering and then go to foreign countries like Germany for a master in design in the automobile.
