For automobile designing the best college I can suggest is IIT Mumbai or IIT Delhi other than that you can appear for NID.
In comparison to NIFT, for automobile designing, NID is better.

Go to home page of shiksha.com, there you will find an option about exams. Under this, select NIFT entrance exam. There, you will find different keys. Select cutoff, which will show you a chart about the cutoff marks required by each category /caste to crack NIFT.

Graphic design has a very good scope regarding job opportunities and salary packages. A graphic designer is half an engineer, so jobs are offered not only by designing companies, but one might get chance to enter Google or Microsoft etc.

Do that in which you have your interest and you think are capable of doing better than the other field. Follow your passion and yes fashion designing also gives job opportunities with good salary packages, sometimes even more than an engineer's package.

First, you must clear out what you want to opt. You want to go for BF.Tech which is Bachelor of fashion technology or do you want to go for engineering in design?
If it is BF.Tech, then you can apply for NID or NIFT where most courses are offered.
If it is the latter one, then other than NID, you can find courses like automobile designing, animation/graphic designing etc in IITs all over India.
P.S. both streams require class 12th maths.

Just follow your dream and interest. Because if you have no interest in engineering then you won't be able to study properly and might regret later for wrong choice. If fashion is what you are interested in then you should definitely opt the same as this will be the deciding point of not only your career but your whole life.
