Bachelor of Design or Bachelor in Fashion Technology are distinct courses but follow the same academic stream. Bachelor of Design includes conceptual design, furniture design, interior design, etc. , whereas Bachelor in Fashion Technology allows students to develop, design, manage, and sell fashion items. No, there is no process to get B.FTech (apparel production) even after filling out B. Des in the NIFT application form. I hope this will help you.

The NIFT is an autonomous institute that offers courses in design, fashion, technology, and management. The National Institute of Fashion Technology's head office is located in New Delhi, India. National Institute of Fashion Technology. Those candidates have filled out the Application Form and they have filled in any incorrect details, then they can make corrections facility provided by the authority. Candidates can make a correction in the Application Form from December 2023.

The National Institute of Design examination is divided into 2 phases.

  • First, you have to fill out the Design Aptitude Test form which is generally available after October from the National Institute of Designs' official website, and then they will send you to admit card through the post.
  • The first phase is the Design Aptitude Test examination. If you clear this exam then they will call you for the second phase which is the studio test, in this, you have to make models from any given material.

Candidates seeking admission must clear the IIFT cutoff. The NTA will release the cutoff after the IIFT result is declared. Those who get the cutoff marks will qualify for the next stage of the admission process of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. IIFT 2023 cut offs for will be around 115-120 marks out of total 300.

There is no age bar for applying to the Masters Programmes in NIFT. Eligibility for Masters Programmes Design, Management and TechnologyDesign M.Des Master of Design
Candidates must have successfully completed any of the following:
Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute University recognised by law in India or
Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT NID.
