A student can apply for the programme for M.Des in Fashion, interior, product design, and more, Students coming from any 10+2 or graduation discipline from a recognised university, or board with a minimum aggregate of 50%, can appear for any entrance or admission process or any design course. There are two ways for getting admission in CIT Kokrajhar for B.Des course as under.
1. Through CITBDAT : This is conducted by CIT and the eligibility criteria is given below.
Educational Qualification- Candidates must have cleared HSLC or equivalent with 40% marks in aggregate and 40% of marks in Science, Mathematics (or advanced Mathematics) and English taken together. (5% relaxation for ST/SC/PWD candidates).
2. UCEED : Conducted by IIT Bombay and the eligibility criteria is as under.

Hello Nishthan, You can do M.Des after completion of B.Tech. Even I wnat to do the same. There are no prerequisites but depending on Your branch u need to choose the design specialisation. Here's the list according to my knowledge. CSE: UI / UX design. Mech/Industrial: Transportation / Product / Industrial design. Civil: Interior design. This list is not any compulsion, I just made it coz they are related subjects. Students from any other branches can also choose these specializations but they won't have the understanding of the basics.

Its better to go for B. Des (4 years) of duration of NIFT and NID. The NIFT and NID are the top design institutes of India and offering the various design related B. Des courses. However if you have completed 12th than can also be eligible for B.Sc. Fashion design course.
