The basic eligibility criteria of B.Des courses of NIFT is 10+2 in any stream. The upper age limit for B.Des courses is 23 years and five years relaxation to reserved communities. The admission in B.Des courses are done through the Entrance exam conducted by NIFT generally conducted in the 3rd week of January every year. Because you have completed your B.A. Hons. so you are also eligible for M.Des courses of NIFT. The M.Des courses of NIFT are available in the following specializations as User Experience & Interaction Design, Industrial Design, and Visual Communication. So if interested in doing the M.Des courses the application criteria is same as described above.

Private colleges are providing Scholarship on the basis of performance in their Entrance exams. University like LPU, VIT, SRMIST and CU offers scholarships on the basis of their entrance tests LPU NEST and CUCET respectively. Management Quota means these seats are reserved for those people who actually didnt qualify the eligibility criteria for getting a seat in college but are willing to spend almost two to four times the actual fee of the college. It is like the direct admission process in colleges. While the NRI quota means, Admission quota/reservation for Non Resident Indians [NRI] children of Indian workers abroad [NRI sub-category], Persons of Indian Origin [PIO] and Foreign Nationals [Self Financed Foreign Students]. NIFT and NID have reserved some seats in B. Des and other courses for NRI.

Your first preference should be for MCA through NIMCET. The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) conduct a national level entrance examination for admission to Masters in Computer Applications, I. e. MCA which is known as NIMCET. There are 10 NITs across India where admissions are offered through NIMCET. The other options are the designing courses as under.
1. M.Des in Animation and Film Design from NID Ahmadabad
2. M.Des in Graphic Design form NID Ahmadabad
3. M.Des in Transportation and Automobile Design form NID Ahmadabad
4. M.Des in Interaction Design form NID Ahmadabad
5. M.Des in Information Design form NID Ahmadabad
6. M.Des in User Experience & Interaction Design from NIFT Delhi
The admission in above courses are done through the National Level Entrance tests conducted by respective Institutes.
