B.Sc in Textile Deign is a 3 years full time under graduate course which is divided into 6 semesters. It covers a wide area of study related to textile designing which includes studying various concepts, new trends in designs like embroidery, prints, weaving, coloring and also combining them with new technology and computer application. The course requires the students to think with creativity and innovation. The courses stress on creative explorations and from concept to prototype developed through various stages of further explorations and refinement. This study emphasizes on building a variety of skills, which combination with theoretical knowledge and practical application. This study commences with the fundamentals of textile design. This study includes, weave structure, textile fibers, surface design, printing methods, dyeing techniques, sewing techniques, constructed textiles and basic inputs in garment design. The curriculum emphasizes on building a variety of skills, in combination with theoretical knowledge and practical application. The programme commences with the fundamentals of textile design. This includes textile fibers, weave structure, surface design, dyeing techniques, printing methods, sewing techniques, constructed textiles and basic inputs in garment design. The B. Des graduates are employed with the textile manufacturing industry differentiated by wide range of materials, products and markets. Some graduates are designer-entrepreneurs having established their own companies in textiles and fashion. Some graduates join social-developmental projects, pursue higher studies or seek careers in academics. Eligibility criteria : 10+2 in any stream

The eligibility criteria for M. Des course of VIT is given below. Eligibility criteria : A Bachelor degree with 60% marks in Engineering, Architecture or Design from an recognised University/Institute. Candidate must have a valid score of Common Entrance examination for Design (CEED). Application procedure :

4. Upload photo and signature image on the application form.

Pearl Academy entrance exam is conducted in multiple cycles throughout the year by the Pearl Academy of Fashion. The exam consists of two stages:
Stage 1 - Candidates have to appear for a written examination at their respective test centers mentioned on their admit cards. The written test comprises of two sections - General Proficiency Test (GPT) and Design Aptitude Test (that). GPT assesses the candidates proficiency in the English language along with Logical reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation. While that evaluates a candidate's aptitude for communication, drawing, creativity, and tests his/ her ability to design, imagine and observe. Stage 2 - Candidates have to appear for a Personal Interview after the examination to showcase their portfolio and in the case of design streams, to undergo a material handling skill test. The GPT comprises the following topics as under.
1. English language
2. Logical reasoning
3. Quantitative ability
4. Data interpretation
So as per the syllabus of entrance test, there is no current affairs questions asked in entrance test.
