If I answer your question: HSC and 12th both are same. So If you want to pursue Diploma course then pursue it after 10th not after 12th class.

B.Tech Part-Time After Diploma
The AICTE rules state that those who already possess an engineering diploma are qualified to apply for the BTech part-time degree. Students need to get a passing score on an entrance examination that is given on a national basis in order to be admitted into the part-time BTech program.

Admission to Diploma is course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates who have passed SSLC or equivalent examination with at least 35% aggregate are eligible to apply for Diploma after Class 10 courses. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission.

Diploma is a three-year course divided into six semesters. NMIT Bangalore offers six Diploma courses after Class 10, namely Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. Admission for Diploma is through Management Quota only.
