University Grant Commission accepts distance education as well as regular education but the condition is that the institution/college and the course must be dually accredited and approved by the University Grant Commission. For University Grant Commission-National Eligibility Test, the minimum qualification required to apply is a postgraduate degree. Yes, B.Sc. Nursing distance education is available in various colleges in India like IIMTS. The eligibility is 12th and it's a four-year graduation programme completely online and fee is around INR 20-30k per year. It gives career opportunities.

There are some good colleges in Bangalore where you can get your B.A. Degree by correspondence. Among these colleges are the following:
1. Bangalore University: The Directorate of Correspondence Courses and Distance Education offers 11 courses. The fee for most courses is around Rs. 14,100.
