Since the application portal is live, candidates can apply online for their preferred course.The university conducts entrance exams to shortlist candidates for various courses. DR MGR Educational and Research Institute offers more than 20 courses across various schools, such as the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and the Faculty of Humanities and Science, among others.

No, there is generally no possibility of getting direct admission to MGR Medical University. The mode of MGR University course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on entrance exams. The accepted entrance exams are NEET UG, NEET PG, and others. For MBBS, students are required to apply via the NEET UG entrance exam. For other courses, students can apply on the official website.

MGR Educational and Research Institute accepts NEET MDS scores, followed by couselling for admission to the MDS programs such as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Pathology and Microbiology. However, there were no counselling rounds were released for the OBC AI category by the institute.

MGR Educational and Research Institute has been released till 5 rounds of NEET MDS cutoffs for admission to MDS courses. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. As per the MGR Educational and Research Institute cutoff 2024, the NEET MDS rank stood between 9101 and 19683 for the last-round under General AI quota. Candidates can click here for more cutoffs

Yes, you can surely get admission at 12th percentile of 70, as your 10+2 scores doesn't matter in the case of NEET PG admission. The needed criteria which a candidates must follow is to have MBBS degree from an institute recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Such candidates must possess MBBS degree or a Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate at the time of admissions.
