Well the scholarships are available in Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute based on several categories. If you looking for scholarship, then the first category is merit. If you scored above 95 percentage in your 12th standard you will get upto 40 percentage of fee wavier. Look into the next category, if you are a national sports person then you will get scholarship upto 40 percentage of fee wavier. In other case if your blooded sibling is studying in this university you will be get into the siblings quota. In this quota you will get upto 50 percentage of fees wavier. Moreover,lateral entry is not available in NITs or IITs after diploma, if u want to join NITs or IITs then you have to appear for jee main which is vertical entry mode.
And NERIST, SLIET are the good university for lateral entry to persue B.tech.
So,choose wisely.
