Dravidian University has good placements in Arts, Science, and Management courses, but it is not very well placed for corporate placements. Most placements are in academia, research, and government organizations than in high-paying private firms. The university has career guidance, training camps, and campus recruitment, but top companies hardly visit.

Compared to many private institutions, Dravidian University comes very cheap for its MCA programs. The MCA fee structure in Dravidian University has been designed to be relatively modest enough to make it affordable to the economically weaker background students. The fees are usually quite a bit cheaper than that of many private universities, and hence, would be a cost-effective option for higher studies of computer applications. It is also possible for the university to provide some scholarships or fee remissions to the respective students, that would make it even less expensive. Overall, it is not that cost-intensive to have a degree
