The highest pay scale at Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) differs according to the course and the batch. Again for the batch of students who passed out in the year 2023, the highest percentage of the students received an offer of around 50 Lacs per annum package. The median offer for MBA/PGDM students was INR 7-8 Lacs per annum and for engineering students INR 6-7 Lacs per annum. The main recruiters comprise IBM, Infosys, Wipro, etc., and the salary starts from 4 Lacs and goes up to 12 Lacs per annum. DSI claims a very good placement record in which more than 90% of students get placed every year.

There are a few ways in which MBA/PGDM admission is awarded to students including the following at Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI). Candidates can apply without Karnataka PGCET scores through: Minimum MAT – 500, CAT – 50 percentile, GMAT – 500, CMAT – 150, XAT – 50 percentile, ATMA – 60 percentile. DSI also administers the DSI admission test known as DSAT. Eligibility: Minimum of 50% marks in the graduation (45% for SC/ ST). Academic background as well as work experience, and other activities are valued. Application fee: INR 1,000. Prospective candidates are subjected to group discussion and a later personal interview.

Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) is an independent college which is run by Sri Dayananda Sagar and was inaugurated in the year 1960. The college is recognised by AICTE and is also associated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). DSI is venturesome and self-funded and is under Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Trust. Cut off marks of Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) are different depending on the programme and exam the students want to take. For undergraduate programs:
- KCET: low 50s- High 80 percentile (Engineering), mid 40s – High 60 percentile (Other courses)
- COMEDK: Engineering: below 60-90 percentile, Below 50-80 percentile in other courses
- JEE Main: 60-80 percentile
For postgraduate programs:
- GATE: M.Tech: 30-50 percentile MCA: 40- 60 percentile
