It is good to have something additional along with your graduation degree. However, the kind of course totally depends upon your area of interest and your career aspiration. Being the economics students, you can pursue some course related to Finance, Investment or Risk Management. Based on the industry trends, the skills of 'Advance statistics', 'Data Analytics', and 'Machine Learning' are highly expected from Finance and Economics students. Yes, it is necessary to have mathematics as main paper in 10+2 to get admission in Economics or B.Com hons.
So, if you do not have mathematics as main paper even after scoring better (95%) in board examination, you are not eligible to get admission in course.

Applicants wishing to apply for the course need to have a Higher Secondary Certificate qualification from a recognized board with minimum aggregate marks of 45%. The cut-off marks for application in this course varies from institute to institute.
