Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree have lots of career opportunities. You can pursue Masters in economics and after that, you will be deemed eligible for the UGC NET Exam (for lectureship and for Junior Research Fellowship). With a Masters in economics, you can be an auditor, economic consultant, financial manager and an investment analyst.

Hello Kavita,
Both these subjects are good choices for doing PG. However from the perspective of landing a job, I think economics will beat history. This is so since it has many applications and tremendous opportunities are available in different fields to experts in this field. Be it personal finance, be it companies, as advisory, etc. while history has limited scope of teaching or few government jobs. Hence I would like to advise you that you should take economics.
