Dear Mohit kulkarni. Economics is a great subject. if you get positions as Economist it is top. but Economist positions are very less relatively MBA positions in the country. Therefore. to settle down immediately prefer MBA from good institutions. that will help you out in terms of Scope, salary, etc.

Masters in Economics or M.phil in economics holds highest prestige and great offers.
As far as Geography is concerned, one can work in different departments and research organizations as Demographers / Climatologist / GIS and Remote Sensing Specialists / Regional and Urban Planners / Cartographers / Urban Planner / Forest Managers / Transportation Manager.
One can also find job openings in developmental agencies concerned with demographic studies, rural upliftment and environmental matters.
Job roles can be- Project Manager, Sr. System Executive, System Analyst, GIS Engineer, Image Analyst, GIS Programmer etc.
