I am assuming that the course you have done in editing and proof-reading must be a short-term course. So, I would suggest you go for a degree course in mass communication or English (H). Once you are done with the same, you can apply for jobs and that will give you a high paying job options.

Final Cut Pro is the globally acclaimed and used software or tool to edit and make movies/films. As we all know and acknowledge that in India, there is a great demand for quality video editing because most of the mass media or film making children are less exposed to the actual work they are required to do. FCP-If the candidate knows the know-how of the tool and possesses a certificate as well is a selling commodity for sure.

You must be clear about your aspiring career, before setting an exception. After engineering, accountancy/finance is the most sought career. You can choose from professional courses like MBA, MCA, LLB and B.Ed, according to your interest. But the career rise will not be equal to CA/ICWA.

Hey Pradeep,
This is a question that affects your career choice for life, so are you sure that film editing is where you see yourself in the future. If it is truly your passion then let your parents know and try to convince them, if they don't understand, it's still your decision and just go with it. Collect money and join an institution for Diploma in film editing, after that you must go and find a small production firm and apply your skills to grow and learn with hands-on experts. But, initially, you won't be making money and that's an important part because it's not important, if your passion drives you, you will make it through.
