Hello! Himadri Basu, it is very nice to hear from you about enquiry of cutoff ranks or enquiry about possibilities of getting the branches you mention with ranking of about 1.2 Lacs. To put you into a proper perspective let me say that the first round closing rank for CSE was 7000 while for the other branches that you have mention it varies and is up to about 14000. This does not mean that you will not get admission, it only means that you need to wait for vacancies to arise as students who are in the better position leave for IIT or nits and then the students who have scored less get a chance for admission with lower scores. Hello Sukanta Debbarma, firstly I must congratulation for obtaining such excellent percentage up to your fifth semester of diploma. I am sure that you are going to get much more percentage than this in the 6th semester resulting in higher aggregate percentage for your diploma. With this a percentage I am sure you will get admission in a lateral mode in your desired branch and in your desired college. Perhaps if you had announced as to which college you are going to or which college you are intending to go more information could have been obtain and posted here. This dte decides which branch in Diploma is required for admission to a particular branch of engineering graduation in lateral mode. Actually, Diploma is considered as 12+ as far as engineering is concerned and hence admission is given directly into the second year of a 4-year degree course. I would like to advise you to visit the website of the directorate of technical education in your state. Download the required conditions of eligibility and go through this. You will get authentic information about your state.
