Finding a suitable job after completing the Electrical course should be on top priority. All most all the NITs have placement cells and helps their students in placements. So please avail this facility and try to get some initial experience for much better options. Government competitive exams like UPSC, AFCAT IES Railways, Defence etc. Are the best exams for getting a job opportunity in government. Sectors.

Hello!
As per my experience I would say that yes, Maths forms an integral part of Engineering. You will be studying Maths during your initial two years after that opting for maths is your choice. I had same concern during my initial days of engineering, But I am glad to say that faculty at my engineering college,i.e. Lovely Professional Uniersity, helped me a lot and Maths became one of the easy to handle subject for me.
