One can join B.Tech in Andhra Pradesh mainly using their Andhra Pradesh EAMCET rank and participate in state-level counselling sessions. Direct admission through the Management Quota with just 10+2 PCM is offered which eliminates the need for an EAMCET rank. If you want to do M.Tech, you must have a GATE or Andhra Pradesh PGECET score. How students do in the APICET exams is used by colleges to admit them. EAMCET is the primary way, but with this system, you can get in without depending heavily on your EAMCET score. Still, candidates need to fulfill educational standards (having passed 10+2 with PCM). For B.E./B.Tech at ECET, Eluru, a major way in is through the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET. Candidates must have 10+2 with MPC, earned at least 45% marks (40% for reserved) and have a valid EAMCET score. You first appear for EAMCET, go through online counselling by APSCHE, show your documents, choose your colleges through web options and finally, your seat will be allotted. It appears that ECET, Eluru does not have a student on-campus hostel or mess of its own. Most students live in private hostels very near the university. Thus, the quality of food in the "hostel mess" changes a lot based on what private facility a person selects. Although particular private places are commended for their food by some reviewers, others have complained about it.

Even though B.Tech admission in the ECET, Eluru is based on Andhra Pradesh EAMCET results, there are other admission criteria used too. That means looking at JEE Main scores. In addition, some universities may give NRI or management quota seats to students which allows admission to degree courses without Andhra Pradesh EAMCET results, as long as the student meets the basic course requirement and qualifying exam. It is important to get information about scholarships by contacting the college.
