Concerned about the quality of engineering students graduating every year, the government is proposing to test their attainment levels through this examination. The issue is still under discussion with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). There is no announcement on its implementation plan yet.

The minimum percentage in 12th board exam is 75% for general category and 65% for SC, ST and PWD candidates. They would ask for the overall percentage so that your total marks are not a factor in this calculation.
You need to have 75% or be in the top 20 percentile that is you should be in the top 20% candidates in your board. This is the required condition.

You can still apply for both JoSSA (for colleges other than IIT's) & JAC (for 4 colleges, NSIT, IIIT, DTU ,IGDTUW ) through your JEE Mains All India Rank.
It is not compulsory to give Advanced.

I am a 2-year dropped student. In the first attempt, I scored 29 but in the 2nd one, I got 130. But I want to give myself one more chance. Also, my this year's score is 160.I expected about 190-200 as my preparation was the same. But in the last few days, I got chickenpox so I couldn't revise properly. But I am happy for me because this year, 12th marks were not considered and due to this my rank turned up to be 21199
