If you feel like you can crack it to the top then you should drop the year. Otherwise dropping an whole year leads you to certain problems afterwards. Its better to find a good private university and get enrolled. They are also having good infrastructure nowadays. You can also apply for their own entrance exam and may avail scholarships also.
