Through in this competition environment, there is no branch which is unknown. However, some of the least popular or less competitive areas of engineering are; Aerospace Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Nanotechnology, Quantum Computing, Molecular Technology, Robotics & Automation, Artificial Intelligence and still there are many more. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

The admission procedures vary from one college to the other. Hence, if you could tell more details about whether you have appeared for any exam or your board exam's percentage, then I could help you out.

Engineering or any other such course which is based on practical and Project-based learning is not possible via Distance mode. This is an official thing and UGC does not approve such courses, nor the AICTE. There are colleges who do the fraud of giving non-attending admission and that is a wrong thing not to be suggested by us.

Yes, you can. However, based on your syllabus only the course director can take this decision after seeing the papers you have covered in your engineering Diploma. If you have done this Diploma after 12th, you will be considered easily. If you have done 10th and then Diploma, it will be difficult to confirm this.
