Yes, you should consider top NIT/IIIT colleges if you're hitting 90–95 percentile. 90 percentile means your AIR is about 90,000 to 1,10,000. At this level, it is very hard for the General category to get high-demand branches like CSE or ECE in top NIT/IIITs. You may only get newer NITs like NIT Puducherry, NIT Manipur, and NIT Goa for branches like Electronics, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. In this case, you're better off considering top private colleges, BITS Pilani and VIT Vellore lead with placements above INR 18 LPA, and some students are getting over INR 1 crore or so international offers, so they're good options.

ECE is a great option to study.

Electronics and communication engineering has a wide range of applications in India and around the world, including IoT, VLSI design, and telephony. Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a leader in this area, providing worldwide exposure and industry-aligned labs that enable students to land top positions in prestigious multinational firms and cutting-edge research fields.

Starting salary of aeronautical engineer in India is between INR 3.5 and INR 6 lakh/ year. It is much less than salaries in developed countries.

Graduates of top universities worldwide get decent salary offers. SpaceX, NASA, and Airbus are some of the top recruiters.

It's huge. Engineering is undoubtedly one of the highest-paying and the fastest-evolving fields in the world. No matter where you complete your education (India or abroad), the significance of an Engineering degree is the same.

Though your degree's recognition depends on the college you opt for. The reputation of IITs and NITs is unmatched, and IIT and NIT graduates are highly valued worldwide.

No, a BTech degree is not exclusive to only IITs. While IITs do offer BTech, various other engineering colleges in India also provide BTech degrees.

Hope this information proves beneficial for you!
