Founded in 1908, the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology (GCETTS), Serampore, is a governmental, not private, college. It is run by the West Bengal government and is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). It has also received approval from the AICTE. GCETTS which is well-known for being a pioneer in textile education provides reasonably priced instruction with an emphasis on technology and engineering. Students choose it because of its government status which guarantees controlled tuition merit-based admissions via WBJEE and access to state grants.

Application Forms of SSC exams, for instance SSC CGL exam are scheduled from 24 June 2024 through July 27, 2024. Candidates can only fill application forms online through SSC's official website. Also, although the common application form will be issued for various posts that appear in SSC CGL Exam, different application forms will be issued by various SSC Exams.
