Engineering Physics admission in India is usually based on entrance exams such as the Joint Entrance Examination Main and JEE Advanced. Some colleges may also consider the candidate's performance in class 12 exams such as their aggregate should be 50 percent.

There is a fine line between the Engineering Physics Programs and Applied Physics Programs, but the latter is different from the former in many aspects. Engineering Physics is the learning the use of physics knowledge to solve engineering issues, whereas Applied Physics is a vast field of study that involves research, among other areas of practice.

The Engineering Physics duration in India differs based on the college and course. Most courses are 4 years long, leading to a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree. For integrated BTech-MTech, you need to spend 5 years and for MTech courses, you will have to invest 2 years.
