It is not right to say which exam is better out of the two. Candidates should appear for either or both exams as per their goal. Appear for KCET if you seek admission to the top engineering colleges in Karnataka for the government quota seats. For admission to top colleges through the private quota, appear for COMEDK UGET.

No. The COMEDK UGET exam is not harder compared to the JEE Mains or Advanced. Those who are preparing for these exams can easily attempt the COMEDK exam because of overlapping of syllabus.

The difference between ier-1 and ier-2 colleges are:

Tier -1 Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu are national colleges, competitive and difficult to get into admission. Top colleges are IIT Madras, NIT Trichy, VIT Vellore, Anna University, etc.

Tier-2 colleges are reputable engineering colleges, popular among state-rank students. Top colleges are SSN, PSG College of Technology, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

 NIT Calicut cutoff 2025 was announced for the OBC AI and OBC HS categories. For the OBC AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 160 to 57399. On the other hand, for the OBC HS quota, the cutoff varied between 77 and 52690
