Chandigarh University does not announce branch-wise GATE Exam 2026 cut-offs for M.E. admissions. Since GATE is not mandatory for admission, there are no fixed cut-offs for different specialisations. However, for GATE fellowship allocation, competition may vary by branch depending on the number of applicants and seat availability. Popular branches such as Computer Science, Electrical, and ECE may see higher competition for fellowship seats, which indirectly favors higher GATE scores. Despite this, admission remains unaffected by branch-wise GATE performance. Students can apply to any eligible M.E. programme regardless of their GATE scor

There are three Engineering specialisation Diploma courses offered at Mahamaya Polytechnic of Information Technology and each takes up 60 candidates. However, the given number of seats is taken from the official website of the college. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.

Some seats are reserved for the reserved category students at Mahamaya Polytechnic of Information Technology. The seats are reserved in accordance with state government. Following is the proportion of seat allocation-
· 21% seats for Scheduled cast
· 2% seats for Scheduled tribe
· 27% seats for OBC candidates
· 2% for freedom fighters
· 5% seats for dependants military persons
· 3% seats for physically handicapped

Yes, scholarships are provided to the reserved category students like SC/ST and disabled students at Mahamaya Polytechnic of Information Technology. Scholarships are also given to military dependent. Also, fee waiver facility is also given to students having family income less than 1 lakh.

After the UPJEE exams, candidates have to apply for counselling session and choose Mahamaya Polytechnic of Information Technology as preferred college for admission. Those students clearing all the stages of selection, need to get their documents verified at the college and submit the course fee.

An application fee of INR 300+ bank charges for General/ OBC and INR 200+ bank charges for SC/ST candidates has to be paid for registering to UPJEE (P) exam offering admission to Diploma courses at Mahamaya Polytechnic of Information Technology. Students have to download the admit card and appear for the exam.
