According to NIRF 2023, NIT Jalandhar is rated 72nd overall and 46th in the engineering category. Furthermore, India Today 2023 ranks the institute 29th in the Engineering category and 21st in the Engineering (Government) category. This five-year Integrated M.Tech degree was introduced by the UoH School of Computer and Information Sciences and will begin in the academic year 2014–15. After five years, students receive an M.Tech degree; however, there is no exit exam.
