I would say, focus on JEE Advanced. If you have scored 97.1 percentile, then you have a real chance of being into IITs if you prepare well and strategically. There is a big difference between IITs and NITs. Even though top NITs are comparable to some of the IITs but still IIT is at different level. Not saying NITs are bad, some are really decent and reputable. Aim for that.

Electrical/Mechanical/Civil in NIT Allahabad and Rourkela.

ECE in some other decent NITs like Jaipur, nagpur, Calicut, Surat.

CSE/IT in some fairly good Other NITs.

But still I would say focus on JEE Advanced, with some good preparation you can get some decent branch in decent IITs.
