The separate placement data for ECE has not been released yet. However, the University has disclosed the overall placement details for BTech. From 2021 to 2023, a fluctuating trend was observed in the BTech placement rate. On the other hand, year-on-year growth was recorded in the median package offered to BTech students over the past three years. The table below illustrates the Calcutta University BTech placement trends:

The University has not released the Calcutta University CSE average package or branch-wise placement statistics 2023 for BTech. However, as per the combined details available in the NIRF report 2024, a total of 199 students were placed during Calcutta University BTech placements 2023. The median package offered to BTech students was INR 10 LPA. Earlier, 305 BTech students were placed in 2022 and the median package stood at INR 9.20 LPA.

Admission to M.Tech course is based on SEE score. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. MTech is a two-year course offered at the PG level. M.Tech is available in 11 specialisations, namely Computer Science, Construction Technology & Management, Production Technology, Structural Engineering, Thermal Engineering and VLSI & Embedded Systems, etc. Aspirants who have completed bachelor's deree in Engineering or equivalent degree with at least 50% aggregate in Class 12 can apply for the M.Tech course.

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIIT Pune has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 17279. In 2023, it decreased to 16952. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from
25279 to 7366 for OBC
86880 to 5021 for SC
158729 to 2376 for ST
22133 to 2814 for EWS
325939 to 512 for PWD
This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIIT Pune BTech cutoff 2023 for Computer Science Engineering was 7366 for OBC category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female. IIIT Pune BTech cutoff 2023 is based on JEE Main scores followed by JoSAA Counselling, which has been concluded after Round 6 Seat Allotmnet results. JoSAA Counselling is released for multiple categories, including OBC Category.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 18945 and closing rank was 22399 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 24607 and 27443. Admission to Electronics & Communication Engineering in IIIT Pune is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 21049 and 23890. Admission to Computer Science Engineering in IIIT Pune is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
