The selection to IIIT Bhopal BTech programme is based on the candidate’s JEE Main exam score followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) through which they are allotted a seat. The seat allotment also depends on the college cutoff and a candidate’s preference for that course and college. JoSAA registrations usually begin from the third week of June in online mode. However, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) manages the counselling process for the remaining vacant seats.

The CSE emerged as the top branch during 2023 placements, in terms of the highest package and the highest number of offers made. The highest package offered to CSE students was INR 56 LPA. The normalization of marks in TANCET exam is done only for the engineering courses, admissions to PG engineering courses are based on the CEETA PG exam. No normalisation of marks is dow for MBA and MCA admissions. To call candidates for TANCET counselling, the examination authority will use the actual marks or percentile score.

Percentile score and actual marks varies as the marks are calculated based on the marking scheme, whereas the percentile score is calculates using the marks of test taker in comparison of other test takers.

IITJ is ranked 30 among top Engineering institutes as per the NIRF 2022 rankings. The institute has a good placements record. The median package offered to MTech CSE and M.Tech AI students were INR 14 LPA and INR 14.5 LPA, respectively. Some of the top companies that participated in the IIT Jodhpur placements drive were Accenture, Adobe, Amazon, IBM, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc.

For admission to MTech in IIT Bhubaneswar, aspirants need to first check the eligible criteria. The technology institute grant admission based on GATE entrance scores followed by COAP counselling. The aspirants graduated from any of the IIT are exempted from the GATE entrance score requirement. Candidates can apply for GATE by visiting the GOAPS website (gate.iitk.ac.in). The application fee of GATE has to be submitted separately apart from MTech fees of IIT Bhubaneshwar. 

The tuition fee for a two-year MTech course is INR 20,000. Its total fee includes components, such as hotel fee (if applicable), caution deposit, and other amounts to be paid at the time of admission. Candidates have to submit the compulsory fee at the time of admission to confirm seats. This given fee is taken from official sources and hence is subject to changes. Candidates wanting to get admission need to submit the application fee for GATE as well. 

 The institute is ranked 30 among the top colleges of India under the “Engineering” category by NIRF in 2022 rankings. During IIT Jodhpur placements in 2022, the median and average package offered to BTech CSE students was INR 28.7 LPA and INR 28 LPA, respectively.  Admission to the course is entrance-based. Aspirants are required to take JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The selected students based on merit in JEE Advanced further have to participate in JoSAA rounds of counselling. The seat allotment process is then carried out as per performance in counselling and other selection rounds.

Aspirants need to appear for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced and secure a valid All India Rank (AIR). Based on students' AIR, the conducting body calls students for JoSAA counselling and carries out the allotment process. There is no other provision for admission to the BTech course. The total tuition fee for BTech courses is INR 8 Lacs and INR 8.1 Lacs for the integrated programmes (BTech + MTech). IIT Bhubaneswar BTech's total course fee will further include more components such as hostel fee, library caution fee, statutory fee, etc. Moreover, the given tuition fee is as per unofficial sources and hence can vary. Apart from this, candidates need to pay JEE Main entrance & counselling fee separately. As the admissions to BTech programme are accepted through JEE Mains & JoSAA counseling.
