According to WBJEE pattern, there will be negative marking for wrong answering according to categories. In category-1 0.25 marks will be deducted for wrong answer and 0.5 will be deducted for category-2.

No. As of yet, the authorities have not announced any information regarding the revision of WBJEE 2026 syllabus. It is likely that the subjects and topics to be studied for the examination will remain the same as the previous year's WBJEE syllabus. The official WBJEE 2026 syllabus will be released online at wbjeeb.nic.in. To perform well in the examination, the candidates are advised to check and follow the official WBJEE syllabus.

No. The candidates will not be required to prepare aptitude and logical reasoning questions for WBJEE 2026. The topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are included in the WBJEE 2026 syllabus. No aptitude and logical reasoning questions will be present in the question paper. Therefore, the candidates will not be required to study the aptitude and logical reasoning questions. Candidates are advised to focus on the official WBJEE syllabus while preparing for the examination.

NIT Hamirpur admissions 2024 are based on JEE Main 2024 ranks followed by JoSAA Counselling and further, followed by CSAB Counselling. Candidates seeking admission to the BTech must appear for JEE Main in order to be eligible for further admission process. JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. NIT Hamirpur JEE Main Round has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per NIT Hamirpur JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 47137 for General category candidates in All India quota for Civil Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 57944 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIIT Bangalore and NIT Trichy both offer admission to the M.Tech course on the basis of a valid GATE score, followed by a GATE Counselling process. Talking about the 2023 last-round cutoff, the closing rank for M.Tech in CSE was 480 at IIIT Bangalore. For NIT Trichy, the last round closing score was 637 for the same course and specialisation. Analysing the last round cutoff data, IIIT Bangalore was more competitive for M.Tech in the CSE course than NIT Trichy.
